WELCOME TO THE OSTRACODA LIFEDESK
Ostracoda are amazing animals, which inhabit virtually all aquatic environments on Earth. From tropical sand beaches to the deep sea. From the Arctic to Antarctica. From freshwater temporary ponds to acid lakes. They are very special because they present one of the most extensive fossil records including the last 425 millions years! Because of this, ostracods tell us a lot about the history of our planet, including the many climatic changes.
